Privacy switchable smart glass for Red Bull, Milton Keynes
London based glass partition company, Prism Glass, installed the privacy switchable glass screen at Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes, UK. With the simple flick of a switch, the glass wall changes from opaque to clear, allowing transparency between spaces.
Once the glazing area was measured, the glass panels were manufactured to size by SmartGlass International. The glazing track was matched to specification and installed in preparation for the glass delivery.
The glass partitioning area consisted of a 10-metre wide switchable screen. Additionally, two single glazed double doors were installed by Prism Glass; these doors can also switch between clear and opaque, giving the space total versatility. Prism Glass also installed clear glass screens in other meeting rooms for this project.
Privacy glass partitions are ideal for multi-functional spaces where privacy and transparency may be needed or where you may want to impress guests. However, switchable glass panels can be costly and can take several weeks to manufacture. So it's vital you get your glass from a reputable supplier and only use experienced glaziers to perform the installation, as replacing panels can be costly and take significantly longer than standard toughened glass.
