Glass Fitters needed

 

We're always on the lookout for experienced glass fitters to join our London-based team. As a glazier or glass fitter, you should be experienced in glass office partitioning and installation. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, measure and cut track according to drawings

  • Install glass panels, fit glass doors and balustrades

  • Silicone, dry joints and make good

  • Provide daily reports from the site on progress

  • Ensure jobs are finished to the required standards

  • Follow site rules and always adhere to Health, Safety and Environment rules 

  • Use appropriate PPE at all times

 

What You Will Need

  • At least two years of experience and an excellent understanding of the trade

  • To be fit and able to lift glass panels

  • Ability to follow plans, measurements and technical drawings accurately 

  • To have your own hand tools required for glazing

  • To have good communication skills and follow instructions to agreed time scales

  • To hold a valid CSCS card

  • Any other relevant construction qualifications, such as IPAF, PASMA, trade-relevant NVQ, etc., are an advantage but not essential

  • A UK driver's license is a bonus 

 

For this role, you’ll be self-employed. You will need to be an experienced fitter, accustomed to working accurately, have good problem-solving skills and take pride in working to high standards of workmanship. Competitive rates (negotiable depending on proven experience).
